Everything you need to know about Easy Reader Club

What are SATs? 🇬🇧

SATs (Standard Assessment Tests) are national tests taken by children in Year 6 (aged 10-11) in England.

The reading test checks how well you understand what you read. It includes different types of questions like finding facts, understanding words, and explaining ideas.

How does scoring work? ⭐

Scoring has two parts: accuracy and points.

For points, each first-time correct answer gives 2 points.

If you review mistakes afterwards, you can earn 1 extra point per incorrect question by completing the review.

This means first-time correct answers are worth more, so accuracy still matters most.

We also track your Proficiency Score (0-100), which grows as you practise and improve.

What is Difficulty Level? 🎯

Our system adapts to you! The difficulty ranges from -3 (Getting Started) to +3 (Expert).

  • If you get 80%+ correct and find it easy, the level goes up! 📈
  • If you struggle, we lower the level to help you build confidence. 📉

Question Types 🧩

  • Retrieval: Finding facts directly in the text.
  • Inference: Reading between the lines.
  • Vocabulary: Understanding word meanings.
  • Sequencing: Putting events in order.
