Pricing questions

How does the free trial work?

Annual plans start with a 7-day free trial. We take your card details at sign-up and tell you the exact date of the first charge. Cancel before that date and you pay nothing — cancellation is one click in your profile, no email or phone call.

How do I cancel?

From your profile, in one click. Your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. We also email you before every renewal, so a charge is never a surprise.

What is the difference between Solo and Family?

Solo covers one child. Family covers up to 3 children, each with their own separate progress report, for £89 a year — cheaper than two Solo plans.

Is annual actually cheaper?

Yes. £6.99 a month is £83.88 over a year; Solo Annual is £59. That is roughly two months free.

What is a season pass?

A one-off payment for full access through an exam run-up — the SATs pass covers 1 January to 31 May. There is no subscription: it expires on its own, and there is nothing to cancel or forget about. Buy it outside the window and it covers the next one.

What does the free plan include?

3 passages every 7 days, a score and feedback after each one, the free Reading Check-up, and a sample printable paper. You also see the headline figure from the progress report.

What is in the full progress report?

Accuracy for each reading skill (finding information, inference, vocabulary, ordering events), which skill to focus on next, progress measured against where your child started, and their mastery timeline. The free plan shows the headline accuracy figure only.

Will my child see any of this?

No. Pricing, plans and upgrade prompts appear only in the parent view. If your child reaches the weekly limit they simply see that they have finished this week’s stories. We do not advertise to children.

I already subscribe on an older plan. What happens?

Nothing changes. Existing subscribers keep the price and the features they signed up for. You only move to a new plan if you choose to.

Do you offer refunds?

Contact us and we will sort it out. The trial exists so you can decide before paying, and we would rather refund someone than argue with them.

Are you a school or a teacher?

Teachers get free access for their classes.
